Way Art West has acted
as programme consultant to some of the UK's leading concert halls. In
this role new work and genres have been introduced to venues, and
partnerships established.
Additionally Way Art
West has programmed festivals and, as finance manager, managed annual
budgets upto £4m.
With over ten years
experience of programming the widest range of live performance from
intimate acoustic recitals to brash west end musicals, Way Art West has
established a reputation for programming successfully for concert
halls,
arts centres and festivals.

Warwick Arts Centre
Comedy and Contemporary Music Programme Management
for one of the UK's leading arts centres
In 2007 until
spring 2008 Way Art West was responsible for the music and comedy
programme in the three performance spaces at this highly respected arts
centre. With capacities ranging from 120 to 1450 a prgramme that
included some of the most established names such as Jools Holland and
Russel Brand were programmed alongside up and coming (at the time)
talents including Empirical and Paul Sinha.
Workng in
partnership with the marketing team at the centre a new initiative to
increase the number of students coming to shows was started. Artists
such as Nouvelle Vague, Cinematic Orchestra and Esbjorn Svensen Trio
were programmed. This provided a substantial draw for students and
improved links with the student union resulted.

Leicester de
Montfort Hall
Programming rock, pop, jazz and world music alongside
west end musicals and comedy. At the same time managing finances of
this large scale concert hall.
In 2006 Way Art
West took on the financial and progamme management of this 2200 capcity
concert Hall. Acts as diverse as Lost Prophets, Jimmy Carr, and the
Hollies were programmed as well as west end musicals such as Beauty and
the Beast and Footloose. Financial management includied oversight

Bristol Harbour Festival
Providing local artists
opportunities to perform alongside international acts
Since 2003 a
variety of festivals in Bristol have been programmed including the
Bristol Harbour Festival. This festival which attracts 80,000 people
has three music stages and has a mix of comunity and international
stars. .

strands, engaing communities and partnerships.
Way Art West
carried out a programme consultancy on Behalf od Colston Hall with the
aim of expanding audiences from Bristol's visible minority ethnic
communities, developing partnerships and diversifying the performance
programme
During the
period of the contract WAW took the venue into membership of the
concert hall touring consortium Music Beyond Mainstream, delivered
copromotions with Bristol based Balck Arts Organisation Kuumba, raised
funds for the diversity showcase event Crossing the Tracks and built a
programming partnership with Serious.
A wide range of
prestigious concerts were booked including The Gotan Progect, Wynton
Marsalis and the Lincoln Center Jazz Orhestra, Yousou N'Dour and
Ibrahim Ferrer. The
programme notably attracted higher proportion of local people in
audiences than was usual for the venue.
